Financial Assistance opportunities (1)

Starting in the spring, struggling East Tampa homeowners can expect help from the East Tampa Community Redevelopment Agency. The agency has budgeted nearly $2.5 million toward housing affordability and rehabilitation initiatives to support residents directly. Eligible applicants can apply for up to $40,000.00. These funds can be used for anything from major structural repairs to exterior and landscaping upgrades. One million dollars will go towards those reparations and another $1.5 million will go towards completely demolishing and rebuilding homes that couldn’t be fixed otherwise. As the rent and housing prices go up in this area, these repairs will help people stay in their homes.
