YES Home Lands Significant Funding from Lilly Endowment
(Aurora, Ind.) – The atmosphere is buzzing with excitement at Youth Encouragement Services, Inc. (YES Home) as they have recently been showered with financial blessings that promise to take their outreach to the next level.
This week came the incredible news that YES Home has secured an astounding $881,101 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. This windfall will be channeled into a range of transformative projects that aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of the youths they serve.
But that’s not all! Just two weeks prior, YES Home was in the spotlight at the Impact 100 Annual Award Celebration in Cincinnati, where they were bestowed with a separate $100,000 Impact Grant. This generous funding will go towards the much-needed renovation of the YES Home facilities.
As for the sizable Lilly Endowment Grant, it’s earmarked for some pivotal upgrades: the acquisition of two brand-new vans, the creation of two additional staff positions, investment in team-building activities, and an expansion of their therapeutic services.
YES Home is honored to be among 187 organizations selected for grants under Lilly Endowment’s ambitious initiative, Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana. This initiative seeks to empower organizations that are committed to enhancing the academic, physical, and social development of young people across Indiana, targeting youths aged five to 18.
Executive Director Amy Phillips couldn’t contain her enthusiasm: “Receiving the Strengthening Family Youth Programs grant has been a game-changer for us. This financial infusion allows us to dream big, and we are ecstatic about the expanded services we’ll be able to provide to the vulnerable youth and families in our care.”
YES Home serves as a sanctuary for young people between the ages of 12 and 20.
