Eversource offers its Smart Start Program to municipal customers to reduce energy consumption and electric bills at facilities by installing energy-saving measures. Payment for services and products will be made over time with the savings obtained from lower energy costs. Under the Smart Start Program, Eversource pays all of the costs associated with the purchase and installation of approved measures. A monthly charge, calculated to be less than the monthly savings, is added to the municipal facility’s monthly electric bill until all costs are repaid.
