Carbon Power & Light (CP&L) offers its customers a leasing program for PV systems, with an option to purchase the equipment. If a customer wishes to discontinue the lease, he or she can either transfer the contract to another individual or purchase the system by paying off both the remaining balance of the line extension charges and the remainder of the monthly minimum amounts per the applicable rate tariff. Approximately 22 systems of various sizes have been sold through this program.
