The U.S. D.O.E. partners with universities across the country to participate in the Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) program. Participating schools provide a comprehensive set of services to small- and medium-size manufacturers designed to improve the competitiveness of manufacturing companies within about 150 miles of their campus. These services include direct technical and engineering assistance, continuing education courses, networking opportunities, and connecting companies to university resources.
