WesternSUN’s Extreme Green program is a pilot stage program that pays homeowners and businesses 15 cents per kWh for the environmental attributes of their annual photovoltaic production. Contracts are for two years. The solar attributes can then be purchased by members of WesternSUN, environmental groups, and responsible foundations. Several options are available for monitoring the solar production, including installing a traditional utility grade meter and installing a utility meter capable of downloading data to your phone line.

Western S.U.N. (Solar Utility Network) helps its members acquire and implement renewable energy technologies at the lowest possible cost through market aggregation. Our members are electric cooperatives, public utility districts, and municipal utilities. The Co-op purchases solar-electric technology directly from manufacturers and resells to members for resale to end use customers. The Co-op provides educational resources, training, marketing to its’ membership and their customers.
