National Grid provides funding support to residential gas customers who install solar hot water heating.

National Grid residential gas customers with eligible solar hot water systems can apply for a rebate of 15% off project costs up to a maximum of rebate of $1,500 for solar water heating systems. This rebate requires that participating customers share their water heating usage data for a period of 12 months in order to receive funding. National Grid works directly with residential solar installers, who submit rebate applications on behalf of the customer.
