What is the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program?

Mortgage Assistance Program for Delaware Homeowners Affected By Coronavirus offers financial assistance to homeowners who are at risk of losing their homes to foreclosure because of a pandemic-related job loss, reduced work hours, or unpaid leave. DEMAP provides eligible homeowners with up to $5,000 per household, paid directly to the mortgage servicer, to prevent a foreclosure. To qualify for mortgage relief from DEMAP, applicants  have to be the property owner of record, the property must be located in Delaware, and the mortgage loan must have been current before April 1, 2020, and not more than 30 days delinquent when you apply to the program.
