Carbon Power & Light offers the EC Home Improvement Loan Program to its residential customers interested in making energy efficient improvements to their already existing homes. This program can be used to finance a variety of energy efficient products, including electric thermal storage heaters, water heaters, window and door replacement and insulation. The loans can cover the purchase of equipment as well as the installation costs. Loan amounts can range from $1,000 to $15,000. The interest rate of the loan is fixed for the life of the loan and prepayment is allowed at any time with no penalty. There is no down payment or application fee. Flexible payment options allow loans of up to $5,000 to be paid over 12-60 months. Loans between $5,000 and $15,000 can be paid in up to 120 months.
