Description

The Utilities Commission of New Smyrna Beach (UCNSB) offers rebates for certain residential energy efficiency services and installations. UCNSB offers free energy audits to identify ways that customers can save energy by making certain energy efficient improvements. Fifty customers may receive $0.125 per square foot of attic or floor insulation, up to $375, when it is added to an existing, air-conditioned home. To qualify, insulation must be rated to at least R-19 for attics and R-11 for flooring.

Fifty residential customers of UCNSB may also receive a rebate for the cost of duct repair on an existing home, up to $375. Customers must have an existing central air conditioner and repairs must be completed by a licensed HVAC repair contractor.

UCNSB also offers 150 rebates of up to $55 to qualifying low-income customers for air conditioner maintenance. Customers should see the rebate applications for more information.
