PENNSYLVANIA Pennsylvania residents can benefit from the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, which provides payments ranging from $250 to $975 to older and disabled individuals. To qualify, applicants must be 65 years or older, a widow or widower aged 50 or above, or a resident with a disability aged 18 or older. The maximum standard rebate is $650, but some may be eligible for supplemental rebates up to $975. The application deadline is June 30, and rebates will be distributed starting from July 1. Interested individuals can find eligibility criteria and application forms online.

Additionally, the North Penn School District offers extra payments of up to 75% of the state rebate amount.

COLORADO Residents of Boulder, Colorado, have the opportunity to receive a rebate on sales tax paid on food. Eligible individuals can receive $99, while families can receive $302. Income limits apply, with a threshold of $43,900 for individuals and $62,700 for a family of four. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: be 62 or older, have a disability, or have children under 18 in the household during 2022. The application period is currently open and applications must be submitted by June 30.

NORTH CAROLINA Greensboro, North Carolina, residents may apply for a $150 property tax rebate through the Low-Income Homeowner Assistance Program. To be eligible, applicants must provide their previous year’s tax return and proof of household income. Additionally, they must have resided in their home for the past five years, and the property tax value should be less than $250,000. Eligibility criteria and application forms can be found online. The deadline to apply is June 15.

OTHER DIRECT PAYMENTS If you don’t qualify for these programs, there may be other direct payment opportunities available. Minnesota, for example, will provide tax rebates of up to $1,300 per family in the fall, and no application is required. Eligible Georgians can also anticipate their state income tax rebate of up to $500, which will be distributed next month.
