Chesco Secures $2.7 Million in Housing Grants to Enhance Affordable Housing Initiatives
A significant boost has arrived for affordable housing initiatives in Chester County, as the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Authority has awarded the county $2.7 million in grants. - Brandywine Valley Active Aging, Downingtown, and Coatesville: $200,000 will go toward a case management program that assists individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or facing housing insecurity, including survivors of disasters.
- Housing Partnership of Chester County, Downingtown: A grant of $200,000 will support the Conservatorship Blighted Property Pilot Program, aimed at rehabilitating abandoned properties for sale to first-time homebuyers.
- DMPA Investment Group, Coatesville: $200,000 has been allocated for the construction of new container homes, offering innovative and affordable housing options.
- Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, Coatesville: A grant of $100,000 will support the purchase and renovation of two homes, providing affordable homeownership opportunities.
