Homeowner Assistance Program: New Extended Grant Deadline

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – The City Council of Charlottesville is extending the filing deadline for the Charlottesville Homeowner Assistance Program (CHAP) grants to 5 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2023. Excitingly, the grants offered could range between $1,000 to $2,500! The exact amount you could qualify for depends on your household’s IRS Form 1040 Adjusted Gross Income for the 2022 Tax Year.

  3. Home Value: The assessed value of your property for the current year must not exceed $460,000.
  4. Income Cap: Your household’s IRS Form 1040 Adjusted Gross Income for 2022 must be $60,000 or less.
