USDA Rural Development Program Application Support Available at Dallas County Extension Office
The Dallas County Office of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) is offering assistance to Dallas County citizens in completing applications for the USDA Rural Development’s Single Family Housing Repair program. This program, known as the Section 504 Home Repair program, aims to provide loans or grants to low-income and very-low-income homeowners for repairing, improving, or modernizing their homes. Additionally, grants are available for elderly homeowners (defined as 62 years or older) and very-low-income homeowners to address health and safety hazards.
To support community members in completing their application packets, the Dallas County office will be accepting appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays until June 29, 2023. Dallas County citizens who require assistance can schedule an appointment or obtain more information by contacting the Extension Office at 334-875-3200. The office staff will provide guidance on the required information to ensure the submission of a complete application.
