14 States to Send Direct Payments to Residents

As millions of Americans feel the effects of inflation, 14 states will issue tax rebates to their residents. 

Many states have their own specific requirements and limits on what homeowners can get. For more information homeowners should visit their state website for specifics.

Maine, for example, has been sending out rebate checks worth $850 per individual and $1,700 per family. Hundreds of thousands of New Mexico homeowners will receive tax rebates of up to $500, and thousands of Hawaii residents will receive a one-time tax refund of up to $1,200 in the coming weeks. California Governor Gavin Newsom has even announced that 23 million Californians will receive direct payments of up to $1,050, with payments beginning soon.

Again, depending on your state,  you may be able to take advantage of these programs. Homeowners should visit the government website for their state.
