El Paso County Homeowners Receive Mortgage and Utility aid Through the Texas Grant Program’s Assistance Initiative

El Paso, Texas — In an initiative facilitated by El Paso County officials, a homeowner assistance program is now accessible to residents seeking relief amid financial challenges.

This initiative extends grants to qualifying homeowners, aiming to alleviate various financial burdens. Eligible recipients can receive support covering overdue mortgage payments as well as up to three months of future mortgage obligations. Additionally, the program offers assistance with property taxes, homeowner/condo association fees, insurance payments, past-due utility bills, and prospective utility expenses spanning three months.

Included in the utility coverage are electricity, natural gas, metered and non-metered propane, water, and wastewater bills. The aid provided is designed to bring homeowners’ accounts up to date, potentially encompassing other ancillary expenses like trash disposal fees.
