Arizona Home Energy Rebates Offer Up to $14,000 Per Household

Arizona households can still apply for Efficiency Arizona rebates, but one important deadline is coming fast. Homeowners who want to use rebates to replace gas appliances with electric models are being urged to apply by Aug. 1, 2026.

The program helps income-qualified households pay for energy-saving home upgrades. Rebates can cover part of the project cost, up to $14,000 per household.

How Much You Can Get

Efficiency Arizona lists several rebate amounts. A heat pump for heating or cooling may qualify for up to $8,000. A heat pump water heater may qualify for up to $1,750.

Electric stoves, cooktops, ranges, ovens, and heat pump clothes dryers may each qualify for up to $840. Insulation, air sealing, and ventilation may qualify for up to $1,600.

Electrical panel upgrades may qualify for up to $4,000 when paired with a qualified appliance. Electric wiring may qualify for up to $2,500.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility depends on household income and other program rules. The program is for qualified Arizona households.

Starting in September, federal rule changes will limit some rebates and add new requirements. Heat pump rebates will require homes to meet insulation and air sealing standards.

How to Apply

Applicants can create an account and submit an application through Efficiency Arizona. The application usually takes 10 to 15 minutes if documents are ready.

Several rebates are expected to continue after September, and the program is currently planned to run through 2031.
