Florida Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF)
Emergency financial assistance for Florida homeowners struggling with mortgage payments, property taxes, insurance, and other housing expenses due to COVID-19 hardship.
About Florida's HAF Program
Florida received $676 million in federal Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) allocation to help homeowners who experienced financial hardship after January 21, 2020. The program is designed to prevent mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures, and loss of utilities and home energy services.
Florida's HAF program provides direct financial assistance to eligible homeowners to help them catch up on past-due mortgage payments, property taxes, homeowners insurance, flood insurance, homeowners association fees, and utility bills. This critical support helps Florida families stay in their homes and avoid foreclosure.
The program prioritizes assistance to socially disadvantaged individuals and those earning less than 100% of the Area Median Income (AMI), ensuring that help reaches the families who need it most.
