Chelan County Flood Survivors Can Still Apply for FEMA Help and SBA Disaster Loans

Federal help is still available for people affected by December flooding in parts of Washington state.

FEMA is opening a temporary Disaster Assistance Center in Leavenworth through May 22, 2026. The SBA is also accepting disaster loan applications.

What FEMA may help with

  • Temporary housing.
  • Displacement costs.
  • Home repair costs.
  • Personal property losses.
  • Other disaster-related expenses.

SBA disaster loan amounts

Homeowners and renters may borrow up to $100,000 to replace or repair personal property. Homeowners may also apply for up to $500,000 to repair or replace a primary residence.

Who may apply

Businesses, renters, and homeowners in the declared disaster area may apply. Chelan County residents can apply for physical disaster loans. Douglas County residents may have more limited SBA options, but should still check FEMA and SBA guidance.
