
Hawaiian Home Lands Homeowners Can Get Up to $30,000 Through Ho‘āmana
Hawaiian Home Lands homeowners may be able to get help through the Ho‘āmana Homeowner Assistance Program.
The program is run by Hawai‘i Community Lending. It helps eligible lessees who live on Hawaiian Home Lands catch up on housing costs and avoid lease cancellation.

- Homeowner, hurricane, or flood insurance
- HOA or common area maintenance fees

Who may qualify?
Homeowners must live on Hawaiian Home Lands and show a financial hardship. Examples may include job loss, higher household costs, late notices, shut-off warnings, or delinquent mortgage statements.
Household income must be at or below 80% of Area Median Income, based on HUD limits. Applicants also need to complete one HUD counseling session with a DHHL-approved housing counseling agency.
