Hollywood Florida Offers Up to $150,000 for Home Repairs
If you own a home in Hollywood, Florida and need repairs, you can get help. The city has a program that gives up to \$150,000 to fix your home.
The program is called the Homeowner Occupied Rehabilitation Program. It helps homeowners make their homes better and safer.
Two Programs to Choose From
Hollywood offers two different programs depending on what you need:
1. Neighborhood Pride Program
This program gives up to \$40,000 for outside repairs. You can use it to fix:
- Impact windows
- Roofs
- Driveways
- Other exterior work
This is a grant, which means you do not have to pay it back. However, you can only use it in certain parts of Hollywood.
2. Housing Rehabilitation Program
This program gives up to \$150,000 as a deferred loan. You can use it for:
- Exterior repairs
- Interior repairs
- Both at the same time
A deferred loan means you do not have to make monthly payments. You only pay it back if you sell your home or move.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for these programs, you must:
- Live in the City of Hollywood, Florida
- Own your home
- Make 120% or less of your area median income
For the Neighborhood Pride Program, your home must be in certain eligible areas of the city.
For the Housing Rehabilitation Program, anyone in Hollywood can apply as long as they meet the income requirements.
What Is Area Median Income?
Area median income (AMI) is the middle income for your area. If you make 120% or less of AMI, you may qualify.
Check with the city to see if your income qualifies. Many families can get help through these programs.
No Age Requirement
You do not need to be a certain age to apply. However, the city says more seniors and people with disabilities use these programs.
The programs help people who cannot afford to pay for repairs on their own.
Good News: No Waitlist
Right now, there is no waitlist for these programs. The city is accepting applications.
The sooner you apply, the sooner work can begin on your home.

How It Helped One Homeowner
Dominga Amparo has lived in Hollywood for 37 years. Her husband had a stroke, and she cares for her adult daughter. Home repairs were too expensive for her.
Through the program, the city is fixing her home for free. She said: "When they called me to say they were going to fix my house, I got so happy that I cried."
Her home is one of 90 homes completed in 2025. The program helps families stay in their homes and keeps neighborhoods looking good.
Why These Programs Matter
The Community Development Manager, Ryon Cotte, says the programs help "uplift families and foster neighborhood pride."
When homes look better and work better, the whole community benefits. Families can stay in their homes instead of moving because of repair costs.
If you live in Hollywood and need home repairs, apply today. The money is available, and there is no waitlist.
