Indiana Homeowners Can Apply for Energy Saver Rebates Through the State Program
Indiana homeowners can now apply for help through the state's Indiana Energy Saver Program, which provides upfront rebates for eligible home-efficiency upgrades.
The Indiana Office of Energy Development says applications are now open for the program, and the states Energy Saver portal explains that rebates are delivered as a discount on eligible products and installation completed by qualified contractors.
What kind of help is available?
Indiana says the program includes two tracks: Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) and Home Appliance Rebates (HEAR). Official materials say homeowners may qualify for up to $18,000 in Home Efficiency Rebates and, for eligible low- and moderate-income households, up to $14,000 in Home Appliance Rebates for select first-time upgrades such as heat pump systems, heat pump water heaters, and electrical work.
Who can qualify?
The state says the program is designed to help Hoosier households reduce upfront costs for eligible energy upgrades. The HEAR pathway is limited to households under 150% of area median income, while other rebate eligibility depends on the project scope and household circumstances reviewed through the application process.
How to apply
Homeowners can start through the official state rebate pages and the program portal at IndianaEnergySaver.com. The portal walks applicants through eligibility review, an energy checkup, a personalized upgrade plan, and contractor installation steps.
