Madera County Tax Bills En Route to Mailboxes
MADERA COUNTY — Tracy Kennedy, Madera County Treasurer-Tax Collector, has announced the distribution of more than 61,000 secured property tax bills to property owners listed on the most recent tax roll. These property tax bills collectively amount to over $254 million in taxes payable to the Madera County Tax Collector.
The distribution of these secured tax bills is a crucial annual event for the county, signifying the financial responsibilities of property owners and the funding that supports essential community services and initiatives.
Kennedy also highlighted a valuable resource for taxpayers facing challenges in keeping up with their annual tax obligations. She mentioned the California Mortgage Relief (CALHFA) grant program, which can provide significant financial assistance by covering delinquent balances in full.
Kennedy explained, "For taxpayers that are behind on their annual billings, the California Mortgage Relief (CALHFA) grant program can assist you financially by paying your delinquency balance in full. You can see if you have any delinquent taxes on the top right corner of your tax bill under the important messages section."
This program serves as a lifeline for property owners who may be struggling to meet their tax obligations, offering the opportunity to bring their accounts up to date and avoid potential penalties or late fees.
The prompt distribution of these tax bills and the availability of programs like CALHFA underscore Madera County's commitment to facilitating smooth and manageable tax payments for its residents. It ensures that essential public services and community development initiatives continue to receive the funding they require for the betterment of the community.
