Marshall County homeowners have until May 15 to apply for possible repair help

Marshall County, Indiana, is collecting applications for another round of the Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Project. The county plans to apply to the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs in July. If the county is awarded funding, eligible homeowners may be able to get grant help for major home repairs.

What the program may cover

  • Roof repair or replacement
  • Heating and cooling system replacement
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Water heater replacement
  • Exterior ADA accessibility upgrades
  • Other safety and home condition improvements approved by the program

Who should apply

The program is aimed at low- to moderate-income homeowners who live in Marshall County. Because funding is not yet guaranteed, applying now helps the county build its list of interested homeowners before the grant application is submitted.

How to apply

Applications are open from April 15 through May 15, 2026. Homeowners can find the application packet on the Marshall County website under the Recent News section, or ask the county where paper applications are being accepted.

Important: This is an early application window. Final repair funding depends on whether Marshall County receives the OCRA grant.
