Oregon Homeowners Can Get Up to $7,500 for Solar and Battery Storage
Oregon homeowners will have another chance to use the Oregon Solar + Storage Rebate Program.
The Oregon Department of Energy says the program will temporarily reopen on June 15, 2026 after $1.1 million became available from administrative savings and canceled or incomplete earlier projects.
How much can homeowners get?
Homeowners can receive up to $5,000 for a solar electric system and up to $2,500 for an energy storage system.
Low- and moderate-income homeowners may qualify for higher percentage coverage: up to 60% of net cost for eligible solar or storage projects, subject to the program caps.
How the rebate works
Rebates are paid to an ODOE-approved contractor, who passes the savings to the customer. Homeowners do not pay the rebate amount upfront and wait for a check.
How to apply
Homeowners should contact an ODOE-approved contractor before construction or installation starts. The contractor must submit a reservation application before work begins.
