If you're a working resident in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you don't own a home yet, there's a new program that could give you up to $50,000 to help you buy one.

The county is opening applications for its Home Buyer Match Pilot Program this month. It's designed to help people who are working and earning a moderate income become homeowners in one of the most expensive housing markets in the country.

What You Can Get

The program offers matching grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, depending on your income and situation. The money can be used for:

  • Down payments
  • Closing costs
  • Home repairs at purchase

Who Can Apply

To qualify, you must:

  • Live or work in Palm Beach County
  • Not currently own a home
  • Meet the income limits set by the county

"The home buyer match pilot program is designed to help a large swath of our working population who are not currently homeowners to become homeowners," said Carlos Serrano, Palm Beach County director of strategic planning.

How the Process Works

The county expects a lot of interest, so the process starts with a pre-application. From there, 60 applicants will be randomly selected to complete the full application and go through eligibility checks.

Here's the timeline:

  • Pre-applications open: March 30, 2026
  • Pre-applications close: April 20, 2026

How to Apply

When the application opens March 30, you can apply online at the Palm Beach County Housing and Economic Development website:
