Pennsylvania Flood Survivors Can Apply for Up to $20,000 in DRAP Grants

Pennsylvania homeowners and renters affected by the July 5-6 flash flooding may now be able to apply for disaster help.

The state opened the Disaster Recovery Assistance Program, also called DRAP, for eligible households in specific Blair and Huntingdon County communities.

How much help is available?

Eligible households can get DRAP grants of up to $20,000.

The money may be used for:

• Home repairs
• Temporary housing
• Rental expenses
• Replacing essential personal property

The program is meant for people with disaster damage and remaining needs after the flash floods.

Who may qualify?

The DRAP grants are available in these Blair and Huntingdon County communities:

• Altoona City
• Antis Township
• Logan Township
• Snyder Township
• Tyrone Borough
• Warriors Mark Township

Applicants must have been affected by the July 5-6 flash flooding and meet the state program rules.

How to apply

The DRAP application portal opens Thursday, July 23, 2026. Homeowners and renters can check eligibility and apply through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency recovery assistance page.

The application deadline is Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

SBA disaster loans are also open

The U.S. Small Business Administration also opened low-interest disaster loans for the same flooding event.

Homeowners may be able to borrow up to $500,000 to repair or replace a primary home. Homeowners and renters may also be able to borrow up to $100,000 to repair or replace personal property.

The deadline for SBA physical damage loan applications is September 21, 2026. The deadline for economic injury loan applications is April 27, 2027.

Grant money does not need to be repaid. SBA loans do need to be repaid, so homeowners should review the terms before applying.
