Plymouth Homeowners Can Get Up to $750 for Energy Upgrades
Plymouth, Minnesota is reminding residents that its Home Energy Rebate Program is open during the 2025-2026 pilot period.
The program helps homeowners pay for energy-saving work, renewable energy systems, electric vehicle chargers, and electric outdoor equipment.
How Much Homeowners Can Get
The city caps annual rebates at:
- Up to $750 for income-qualified residents or residents in a city climate vulnerability area.
- Up to $500 at the standard rate.
Funds are limited. If demand is high, the city says projects in climate vulnerable areas get priority.
Who Can Apply
The program is for Plymouth residents only. Builders, developers, and commercial projects are not eligible.
Eligible work can include insulation, certain appliances and equipment, solar or wind systems, Level 2 EV chargers, and electric outdoor equipment. Exact eligibility may depend on the homeowner's utility provider.
How to Apply
For energy efficiency projects, homeowners must schedule a Home Energy Squad Planner visit, complete an eligible project in 2025 or 2026, apply for and receive the utility rebate first, and then apply for the City of Plymouth rebate.
For renewable energy, EV charging, and electric outdoor equipment rebates, residents can apply through the city after installing or purchasing eligible equipment.
Homeowners can contact the program at utilityrebate@plymouthmn.gov or 763-509-5542 for help or a paper application.
