The Richland County Land Bank is currently running two programs that offer free grant money to homeowners for repairs. You do not have to pay it back.
Program #1: Lead Safe Ohio
This program helps homeowners remove or cover up lead hazards in their home. Lead is a dangerous metal that can be found in old paint, especially on windows, doors, and exterior surfaces.
The Land Bank has $400,000 available through Lead Safe Ohio. The money can be used to:

Who qualifies: You must own your home and have an income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI). Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Program #2: Thriving Home
The Thriving Home program offers additional help for homeowners who need broader home repairs. This program also targets low-income households.
