Westport Homeowners Can Get Up to $21,000 for Home Repairs in 2026

Westport reopened its housing repair program
If you own and live in a home in Westport, Massachusetts, you may be able to get up to $21,000 for home repairs through the CRE-HAB program.
The program is open now and runs until Dec. 28, 2026, or until money runs out.
How much money is available?
- Up to $21,000 per eligible home
- Money is issued as a deferred-payment loan (no monthly payments)
Who can qualify?
- You must own and live in the home
- The home must be in Westport
- The property assessment must be $450,000 or less
- You must meet income and program eligibility rules
What repairs are covered?
- Roof, windows, and siding
- Plumbing and electrical upgrades
- Heating system upgrades
- Accessibility upgrades, like ramps
- Foundation repairs tied to water problems

Get an application packet at:
- Westport Town Hall, 816 Main Road (2nd floor)
- Westport Affordable Housing Trust Fund website
You can also get help from the Housing Assistance Office on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
