Michigan Home Improvement Grants

Flint residents in the Evergreen Valley neighborhood have the opportunity to receive home improvement grants of up to $10,000, thanks to a partnership between Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church and Metro Community Development. The grants, which range from $7,500 to $9,999, can be used to replace roofs, furnaces, water heaters, and more. Additionally, there are grants of up to $10,000 available for senior homeowners or households with disabled family members who want to improve accessibility in their homes.

Metro Community Development CEO Brian Glowiak says that over the past three years, $1.5 million in local homeowner grants have been distributed but none went to homes in the Evergreen Valley area. “We are determined to change that,” said Glowiak. “One of our grant programs is exclusively designated for homeowners in the Evergreen Valley neighborhood, and we believe that by working together with Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, we can reach out to homeowners to make them aware of these unique opportunities.”

The grants are currently available to homeowners in the Evergreen Valley area, located between Lapeer Road, Lippincott Boulevard, and Center Road. Those interested in applying can contact Metro Community Development at 810-620-1715.

In conclusion, the partnership between Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church and Metro Community Development is working to ensure that Flint residents in the Evergreen Valley neighborhood have access to these home improvement grants. This is a great opportunity for homeowners to improve their homes and live in a safe and comfortable environment.
